    Removing Unnecessary or Redundant Files

I know how to delete "temp", "%temp%", and "Prefetch" files using the Run box, and I believe there is another set of files that can be removed, but I don't remember it. Anyone know the other one? Thanks.

    There's also: PatchCleaner 1.4.2.0

It deletes old files that are no longer used by the computer. I run it every few weeks.

Beware of PatchCleaner which broke the Office 2010 auto updates on two PCs for me. I had to reinstall Office and ditched PatchCleaner which hasn't been updated for a while. I now only use CCleaner & Wise Disk Cleaner.

Prefetch files aren't usually redundant. If you delete these your boot times and application launch times will suffer because those .pf files need to be recreated.
