Try other SATA port and after the SATA cable.
For a month I was no longer a freeze. I have a track the heat, it's winter here. I will clean the pc and put some thermal paste back on the processor. This may also be a microsoft or nvidia update. When the pc freeze it takes 20 to 40 minutes to get a bsod. I waited a few times but without rating the bsod.
Hello all,
I made a new account after finding this thread, hopefully looking for some insight to my similar dilemmas.
Two days ago, I bought an Asus M32CD Intel i5-6400 8gb Ram 1TB HDD with Intel Integrated Graphics. I've had nothing but issues with it freezing every twenty minutes after start up.
I've tracked the event log and receive this warning 9 times prior to screen freeze:
"The driver \Driver\AiCharger failed to load for the device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E26&SUBSYS_84CA1043&REV_04\3&11583659&0&E8"
After reading around I discovered the AiCharger is simply an Asus driver to charge devices quicker via USB. In an attempt to fix the issue I first installed only the AiCharger. After repeating issues I uninstalled the entire Asus Manager which housed a program for things like power management, BIOS updates, app updates, and of course AiCharger driver updates. Nothing I thought was essential through Asus's software to access. Anyway, after uninstall and verifying my Integrated Graphics driver is updated, I'm still having the same freezing issues with the same event log items prior to the lockup.
I do not know what corrective action to take and do not want to go through with a Windows downgrade if that is not for sure the issue (as I still may return the computer and will need it left with Windows 10)
SOS
Uses driver verifier. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...dows-10-a.html
There is a bios of the motherboard for the year 2017.
Yeah I did that as well. The other SATA cable I tried, the PC wouldn't even start, not recognizing the SSD.
Since then I have tried memtest for the RAM; all fine.
HD Tune for the SSD; all fine.
I will try with another power supply, and if that doesn't solve it, I'll change the motherboard. Don't know what else it could be, really.
I just had a freeze after a windows up..haven't had one in a while
Some news on my side, I have booted the computer with a live USB Linux OS. No freezes so far. Which would incriminate the SATA cable and/or the SSD it seems.
