Have you checked that all your drivers are up to date? Is there a bios update for your computer? I would check the OEM site of your hardware to see if there are any updates. Another possibility is if your running any third party security programs.

How do you know for sure it's a Windows problem. it could be a driver or a third party software problem. It may even be a corrupt file when the upgrade was installed. A in-place repair install may help.

So others are getting this problem aswell? Strange it started for me shortly after Windows 10 anniversary update, and the freeze issue i seem to get is, i can see the screen and use my mouse for a minute or so and then it'll all lock up on me forcing me to hard restart. This may happen once every other day, i've tried messing with the power options and updating all drivers still havsn't worked for me but i did read something about disabling the C6 state, gonna give this a try and post back in a few days if it works.

Update: disabling the C6 state didn't have any effect but i did actually get an error in the event view before it froze on me and it was my avira anti virus, so gonna try unistalling that and see what effect this has.

Ok i solved my random freezing issues for me it was Avira antivirus, theres a problem with the recent updates causing random system hangs, so if you have avira and are experiencing this problem just uninstall avira and you should be good.

    Possible Solution :

For those still experienceing freezes with Windows 10. For me my solution was to make sure my HDD never shuts off. In Windows 10 , default setting is set to 20 minutes. Go into settings & switch to never . @ Work now. If anyone has trouble finding the setting , feel free to ask . Hope this works for u all. It has worked for me.
