Ohh okay, that's a major misunderstanding on my part in this case.[/LIST]
Thanks a lot, I'll definitely follow this if I decide to reinstall!
What if I have a CD with a bunch of tools (also those required for Internet to work) that came with the motherboard? Should I install these first or should I get all the listed drivers using another machine and transfer them to my PC ?
If you didn't chronologically follow the driver install for the first 6 listed (if you have integrated graphics) or the first 2 (if you don't have integrated graphics), you have to reinstall. The first two must be installed first prior to any other install or Windows updates, and not doing so will result in wonkiness and/or other hardware issues.

The drivers CD that came with the motherboard should contain the chipset drivers and any other relevant drivers for the motherboard. If you list what's on the CD, I can tell you in which order they should be installed.

For convenience, I would download all the drivers you need prior to reinstalling and putting them in a folder named "Drivers". Within that folder, create the following folders: Audio, Chipset, Network, Video. Save the corresponding driver install file to the appropriate folder. You may already know this, but you should not utilize the internet on a new install prior to installing an internet security program, which would be after all drivers and windows updates have been installed.

Once you install all drivers and windows updates, I recommend to create a WIM of the system partition, as this prevents you from having to do this all over again if you ever have to clean install again. To take a WIM, boot into WinPE/WinRE and issue the following command, with drive Z being the partition you want to save the image to and C being the system partition (the system partition's drive letter frequently changes in WinPE/WinRE, so verify first using notepad, then ctrl + O, or diskpart to verify which drive letter is the system partition).
    • dism /Capture-Image /ImageFile:Z:\Win10Base.wim /CaptureDir:C:\ /Name:"Windows 10 Base" /Compress:Max /NoRpFix /CheckIntegrity /Verify

I believe it has to do with one of two things (or both), the fact that WIN 10 backs up everything in FileHistory (older versions of documents, and what-not) and the repetitive/event driven reference to a cloud service. Such activity may freeze the PC for a second or more.
This is not a solution, but it may help find one...

File history has to be manually turned on and I'm not sure if you're referencing the topic of the thread or the previous user's issues.

I referred to plausible reasons for short freezes during normal work or browsing.

    Here they are:
    Intel Chipset Driver
    Realtek Audio Driver
    Intel LAN Driver
    Management Engine Interface
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver software
    ASMedia USB3.1 Driver
    APRP Utility

A small update: The freezes haven't been there for the last two or three days. Also, the computer will now only Bluescreen when it's booting. As in, from the 'off' state. When it relaunches it's fine for the rest of the day.
As indicated by BlueScreenView, 4 out of 5 recent Bluescreens are related to ntoskrnl.exe. The BS that occured this morning had no Bug Check String, though...

ntoskrnl.exe BSODs are caused by one, or a combination, of three things: failed RAM chip(s), bad/wrong overclocking CPU/GPU/RAM values, and/or RST drivers.
    • It's most commonly due to failed RAM, and in order to verify, you'll need to boot from a memtest utility. There are separate tools for BIOS based firmware and UEFI based firmware.

    Install Order

If you have UEFI firmware, prior to reinstalling Windows, it's a good idea to convert your HDDs to GPT and not utilize MBR [if there are other partitions with data you want to save on the HDD, back it up first, as converting to GPT will clear the partition structure]

    1. Intel Chipset Driver [CPU Chipset Driver]
    2. Management Engine Interface [IMEI Driver]
    3. Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver [Intel RST Driver]
    4. Integrated Graphics Driver [CPU Graphics Driver; must be booted into integrated graphics to install]
    5. Graphics Card Driver [GPU Graphics Driver; must be booted into the graphics card to install]
    6. Realtek Audio Driver
    7. Intel LAN Driver
    8. WiFi Driver [If you have a WiFi Card]
    9. BT Driver [If you have a bluetooth card or bluetooth is integrated into the WiFi card (typical)]
    10. ASMedia USB3.1 Driver
    11. --Optional-- APRP Utility [ASUS Product Register Program] --Optional--

If you did not install 1 - 5 in the exact order listed, you're going to have to reinstall.

    Once Windows is reinstalled
    1. Install Drivers in the order listed under Install Order [rebooting after each install]
    2. Install Windows Updates [rebooting after last install if Windows does not automatically do it for you]
    3. Install software and any other peripheral drivers (i.e. logitech mouse, webcam, Android/iPhone/Blackberry drivers, etc)
      • The first software program to be installed should be your internet security suite, or antivirus and antimalware [HIPS] software, and it is unwise to utilize a web browser until this step is accomplished

    Win 10 Freeze

Same problem as above but mine happens about 5 mins after first start in morning!
Never happens again till the first start next day!

I have 2 desktops that do the same thing, ONLY after installing Win 10!
I reinstalled Win 8.1 No problem! Reinstalled Win 10 same thing!
Can't be hardware, it works OK under Win 8.1

As far as I know this problem has been TOTALY IGNORED by ALL supposedly help resources!
They will not even acknowledge it is a problem!

I have had this problem sine the first full release of Win 10.

What I finally did to keep from trashing everything was to go to the HIBERNATE method of shutdown!

In the "Power settings" there is a choice to use HIBERNATE method of "SHUTDOWN" set this up!
Then when you shut down use Cntrl-Alt-Del & from the pop-up menu choose HIBERNATE".

This saves the present state of the computer & shuts down completely!
When you start up again it will boot to state the computer was in when you shut it down using "HIBERNATE"
& the problem will Not happen until you shut down by any other means!

The only problem is when you shut the computer down without using "HIBERNATE" the same problem comes back.

I would like to hear all the results of this ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE PROBLES THTA NO ONE WANTS TO ADMITS IS HAPPENIG

Almost all issues users have experienced with Windows 10 can be attributed to incompatible drivers and/or software.
