Right now I am completely confused. I will get back to you when I have settled down.

You've got IE11 in Windows 10 if you want it. You can even set IE as your default browser. See Option Three in this tutorial for how to do that.
Choose Default Apps in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials
You'll find IE in the Start menu All apps list, click on Start and scroll down the list, you'll find it under 'Windows accessories'. Open IE from here, then right-click on its icon in the task bar. Select 'Pin to taskbar' and you'll have an IE icon there for whenever you want to open it again.
IE is an optional Windows feature. If you don't find it in the Start menu, then just turn it on in 'Windows features'.

Actually, I prefer IE over Edge too. But I prefer Firefox over both of them
The biggest change from W7's 'Windows Explorer' to W10's 'File Explorer' is the name. It's actually the same program, explorer.exe, that's running. If you came from W7 to W10 (as I did) then the biggest annoyance with 10's File Explorer is that it defaults to opening at 'Quick Access'. It will look and feel much more like the W7 Explorer if you change that to open at 'This PC'. See this tutorial for how to do that.

I have no clue what you said how to get into Settings.
I know now that I was in the wrong settings (Edge) and I need to be in setting for Windows.
Now I can not remember why I needed to go there to begin with.
I always appreciate help when I need it and this forum is great for helping.
I will start a new thread for more questions.
Ok, in detail: I said:
Ways to access Settings: - different ways to achieve the same thing.
a. Windows key + X, click Settings
b. Windows key + S, Settings <Enter>, click Settings
c. Start Menu, click A, click S, click Settings
a. Do you know what the Windows key is? It's the one with the Windows logo on it. Place your finger on that, and press down.
Now with another finger, press X. That is, you are pressing both keys together.
You should see a black column with lots of options in white on the left side of your screen.
Can you see that?
Release both keys.
Look down the list of items in the black column.
Do you see 'Settings'?
Now move your mouse pointer over Settings and click it.
Does your Settings dialogue appear?
b. Now do the same with the Windows key and S.
Cortana should appear, with a search box at the bottom.
Do you see that?
Release the keys, and type 'Settings' in the search box. Press the 'Enter' key (= return).
You should see this:
Can you see Settings there? Move your mouse there and click Settings.
Does your Settings dialogue appear?
I'll leave (c) to you- I think you should have got the idea- hopefully.
