    Apps/processes being suspended!

    Apps/processes being suspended!-pc-help.jpg

I can't figure out why, but randomly my computer has started suspending processes I try to start, for no reason I can think of.

I have scanned my PC multiple times fully, there is no virus, but I can't think of a reason it would be doing this.

It is incredibly annoying as I cannot access most my programs unless I run in sandbox, which causes its own problems. I can access paint, word, notepad, etc, but not other programs.

Any help would be urgantly appreciated...

    Suggestion here:
After running 360 Antivirus some processes have become suspended - Windows 10 Forums

(Your specs unfortunately don't include your AV).

    A different solution found here:

Windows will suspende those processes that it does not need at that moment, especially if it has to free up memory to run a foreground process. It comes down to how much RAM you have installed, how many programs you have open and especially with Gimp, it requires a lot of reserved memory to handle Graphic file/photo manipulation.

Have you considered my post #2? there may be specific odd causes.

Sorry you can't follow those. I can only suggest them.

The main idea of the first is the impact of an AV
After running 360 Antivirus some processes have become suspended
It therefore follows that you could consider which AV you are using.

In the second a solution found was
The issue was the SN-DBS service. Stopping it killed all pending suspended processes.
It therefore follows that you could consider trying that, if meaningful in your case.

Note the final para of that thread indicates that is game-related- i.e. not a Windows service.

    Conclusion:
Both of these point to a 3rd party program being installed causing processes to be suspended.

It therefore follows that should you see if you have anything a bit unusual installed that is having the effect you are seeing.

I do have 360 antivirus, but I had this for years anyway and has never caused any issues before.

But regardless, I can't delete or uninstall it because even the uninstall process gets suspended

I have no clue what SN-DBS is, or where I would find it or what I would do with it....

Given you have the same symptom as the very recent thread I have found for you, it is reasonable to think you need to uninstall 360 AV.

Please confirm this is Qihoo 360 Antivirus as per link in post #2.

Now most reputable AV suppliers have a tool you can download to uninstall their AV. Please go to 360 AV's site and see if you can find one.

Please post back what you find.

There are 3rd party uninstall tools, but these are not recommended for use with AVs.

The text says SN-DBS is a service related to a game, if you read it. I can only point you to the text or copy bits out of that for you. I.e. read the text and simplify it for you. However I think you have now confirmed the source of the problem- 360 AV

Ahh, no, this is 360 total security.

And their uninstall feature is suspended like many other apps, and files can't be deleted and it asks for admin, which is expected for AV I guess.

I have followed the guide on how to uninstall, its just suspended and nothing I can do...
