Auto form fill in how to erase a single wrong entry?

    Hi everyone!

    Easy question.....(I hope)

How to erase a single wrong entry (i.e. like my user name--misspelled by 1 letter) so it does not appear on the drop down menu of the autofill offers every time I log in here?

    Thanks.

It depends on the browser and the site. On Firefox you click on the entry without releasing the mouse button and hit the Delete key. On Chrome you point at the entry and hit Shift+Delete.

These only work for browser-controlled autofill suggestions. Sites can control the autofill themselves and may not follow the same behavior.

To avoid such a problem, use a password manager- 1 click launches the browser, fills the URL, opens site, and if the fields permit autofills those and clicks the button.

    E.g.
    LastPass
    Keepass

    I use Roboform

Data is encrypted, can be available across devices you use.
You can use different and complex passwords without having to type or remember them.

    Thanks for the information!

I use a browser called "Pale Moon Browser" a derivative of Mozilla---optimized for x64 bit computers

    The suggestion worked!
But it also cleared all my other cookies---other than the correctly spelled one!

So its a half win there....

I have to still try the other respondents suggestions before I mark this as solved...
    I don't forget---
thanks for the help! (will rep you when I see how to do both with reps here)

How to Clear and Delete Autofill Info in Your Browser

    - write-up for several browsers including Firefox, which covers point made by PolarNettles and mentions Roboform (one of several such programs).
