I need to edit music folder template to include bitrate

I cannot go through hundreds of folders and subfolers to add bitrate. How do I edit the music folder template on Windows 10 to add bit rate along with artist, album etc.

This has been the biggest pain in the balls.

Hello Sauerteig, and welcome to Ten Forums.

You can use the method in the tutorial below to apply the folder view to all folders using the same template.

I do not see an add bitrate option to the dropdown. Nor do I see an option to edit "music folder."

You should be able to add the Bit rate detail like below.

I'm not sure what you mean by edit "music folder" since that is not in the tutorial I posted above. Please provide more details.

I understand how to change sort view. I understand how to add bit-rate to a particular folder. I am asking how to apply that to all subfolders withina folder. I do not see the information I require in your tutorials.

If you don't see a "View" tab with an "Apply to Folders" button in the properties page of the folder, then try from your "C:\Users\<username>\Music" folder location instead.

The 'View' settings will apply to all folders that have sub-folders, but, if the last child folder only has files inside with additional attribute headers, you'll have to apply the view settings tweak to that folder, which will automatically apply to all folders that are customized for 'Music'.
