update: I've tried to use the mouse on my other device, and it is performing with the same problems.

Also, I've safe booted the PC and still the same problems (The mouse and the large-icon thing) are still persistent!

Then I would replace mouse. If the problem moves with mouse then it sounds like the mouse has fail.

You did the restart thing correctly. The next, should there be one, when your device BSOD's it will show you the message rather than automatically restarting. A BSOD is a blue screen of death... when windows crashes to protect itself.

I replaced the mouse for now. However, the large-icon problem is still there, it didn't go away

When you replaced the mouse did the hardware error resolve itself?

There is this tutorial for resetting thumbnails.

1- (When you replaced the mouse did the hardware error resolve itself?) I dunno honestly how to do that, but when I checked the reliability monitor there was nothing there. I've just installed my old mouse and it is working kinda ok although little funny and too fast, but it was like that from the old days anyway.

2- I tried that thumbnail solution, it didn't work also!

Click Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse > on right click Additional Mouse options

This opens the old classic mouse control. Click on Buttons tab to set double click speed. Click pointer options tab to set how fast moves.

If you are still having issues with Thumbnails I would recommend an inplace repair. I always recommend a full data backup. The procedure is non destructive, that is it leaves apps and data as is. That said Sh_ _ happens.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Currently the MCT tool is providing v1803. If that is your current version then this will be a repair. If you are using older version this will be an upgrade. If you have your own boot media for the current version you are using this will be a repair.

It is written in the description "NOTE: If you do not have this option, then your PC doesn't support UEFI, and is a BIOS PC instead."

Which means my PC is that because I've got other options:

    System Restore
Go Back to the previous version
    system image recovery
    startup repair
    command prompt
    startup settings

I now tried another program to browse my files, it is called "XYplorer" and yet the same Thumbnails problem shows up! However, for the images, it shows the thumbnails normally.
