It appears your N270 has two logical processors after all, at least according to PassMark's listings. Windows 10 works better with more processors, even logical ones. But its Passmark of 269 is low, my netbook's N2600 is higher at 525 and has acceptable W10 performance for browsing with Firefox and other light use. The machine that felt like "treacle" on W10 (but runs W7 just fine) had a single core/single processor AMD V120. Its Passmark at 622 suggests it should run better, but it seems that W10 really needs more than one processor to thrive.

@CLuckeyJD's Intel Core 2 T5300 has two physical cores and a Passmark of 933, so the cpu at least should be up to running W10.
