Screen won't turn back on (Happens randomly) - ft Realtek High Definit

The issue causing it I believe is the realtek driver (I will expand about it below)

The device in question is a laptop FX503VD (I contacted the manufacturer, concluded with resetting my laptop which is like demolishing a house because of a spider issue).
My screen off is set to 10 minutes and sleep is set to 15 minutes.

There is 3 issues all connected to the same issue I feel like (I'll start with addressing the title)

    • Sometimes out of the blue the computer will be still powered on but won't turn the screen back on nor will the backlit keys turn back on, the only solution to get out of it is to hard reset the laptop which goes away for couple of days again.
    • Computer won't go to sleep but I solved it in a bandage way by the text in italic below.
    • Youtube videos tends to go out of sync halfway though the video or randomly when going out of full screen

    • Probably not relevant but I had one blue screen (Would put it here if I could find it, it's been couple of days) but it was likely due to system being unstable from undervolting the system using intel XTU, I put it back to default and uninstalled it for now until I get this solved. Reason I say not relevant is because this happened like 3 weeks after the issues started and never happened again.

I had to request override because of this (I had to google my way to find this solution)

Screen won't turn back on (Happens randomly) - ft Realtek High Definit-capture.png
    powercfg /requestsoverride DRIVER "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0295&SUBSYS_10431B90&REV_1000\4&34b173f8&0&0001" SYSTEM
powercfg -REQUESTSOVERRIDE DRIVER "Realtek High Definition Audio" SYSTEM

Things I tried so far for sync or sleep
    • Reinstall intel ME twice (Asus Rep advice) (For sleep)
    • Clean install Nvidia drivers (For sync)
    • Launch chrome using Intel gpu once and nvidia gpu once, check Youtube on each run (Both goes out of sync eventually)
    • Install realtek generic drivers (From realtek website), install microsoft auto drivers downloaded automatically (This wasn't really international though but didn't work too), install latest available driver from laptop's driver site which is from 2017 (For both sync and sleep)
    • Cry in a corner

I am basically out of ideas at this point, I would really appreciate some help

    Hi Sharif.

Lets start with the basics, what version and build are you on with Windows?

Saw you listed three output devices, do any of them load software as part of Windows? The was an issue where BenQ software was causing an issue like this. Not that you listed BenQ but do you connect LG monitor.

Might try a clean boot and then see if the out of sync happens.

Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts

When you said you clean install Nvidia did you first use a product like DDU to remove old?

Does this happen on all your browser and if so which ones?

When the monitor won't turn on ... does this happen when you are just using the laptop display?

    What AV's do you installed?

If you go into device manager and under sound and display (separate heading) have you displayed hidden devices. Are there any that should be removed.

Thank you for a quick response!!!

    • Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134
    • Apologies, that build info is quite old but still kinda relevant. My laptop is connected to Dell monitor (without any additional Dell software) but it is also connected to the Dell monitor's USB hub which connects to my Logitech Mice and keyboard which has software that run in the background to utilize it's customization options (Logitech Gaming software)
    • I also have another application running in the background called mouse without borders by microsoft. I use to control my other computer's monitor.
    • I am yet to try clean booting, I will try using my laptop on it's own (I have been using it as a desktop for over a month now.
    • When updating the Nvidia drivers I chose to clean install option not the proper way it seems (will try)
    • When the monitor won't turn on I am using my Dell monitor which is set as the primary display
    • Good old windows defender, it seems to do the job these days (With an occasional scan with Malwarebytes free edition but I believe it doesn't run in the background.)
    • Regarding hidden items under sound, these microsoft things show up (SS Below)
    • Screen won't turn back on (Happens randomly) - ft Realtek High Definit-image.png

I'll try clean booting, clean installing nvidia drivers and Firefox (Been using Chrome the whole time)

About to call it a night here.

As I watched few youtube videos on my bed with my laptop all disconnected and running on battery after ages. I didn't once have an out of sync issue.

I'll poke around tomorrow and see if it's just the issue temporarily gone right now.

I have those same hidden, they likely aren't cause.

Good to hear that no sync issues but a limited test.

    Looking forward to next post.

The following day I used my laptop on battery for the whole day with nothing connected and it did not have any sync issues at all.
So far I reconnected the charger and monitor but I left out it's usb hub therefore the peripherals as well.
Will spend some time on Youtube tomorrow again to check if it came back and if it didn't i'll proceed to connect back the usb hub.

I did try connecting everything again and the problem came right back.

After that I spent the last 2 days connecting one thing after another and used the computer as I normally do, problem hasn't come back yet.

The only thing remaining to connect back right now is the monitor which is disconnected, I did reconnect the monitor's USB hub which works fine without any issues.

So an update, it seemed to happen again tonight but it's way less frequent.
Either it's actually less frequent or just placebo..

Must be a combination of things. Going to be a pain to find.
