Shell32.dll file was removed from System32, now computer won't boot.

I mistakenly moved my Shell32.dll file from the System 32 folder. After restarting the computer, it will not boot. It only reaches the "Please Wait" screen, and hangs there forever. Booting in safe mode/safe mode with networking does the same thing.

I've also tried starting windows 10 on volume 2, an option I was given from the recovery screen thing, but it freezes on please wait too.

I managed to reach the command prompt and run sfc /scannow, and it failed. I followed the steps essenbe posted here Computer won't boot after replacing imageres.dll and shell32.dll but I don't see a way to copy/paste from that screen. It just asks me to select where to install windows, but does not show any files.

I've been searching the internet all day for a way to fix this, I've tried every solution I could find, and nothing has worked.

The shell32.dll file should currently be located in a folder inside of the documents folder.

1) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:
System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Windows 10 Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

2) find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB)
3) create a bootable windows 10 iso:
Download Windows 10
4) power on the computer and click the applicable F key to boot to the BIOS boot menu:List of PC brands with their corresponding hot-keys
5) If it is a custom computer then temporarily modify the BIOS boot order to boot to the external USB HD
6) open the external USB HD
7) it may take 5 - 10 minutes for the iso to load while viewing the Microsoft Windows icon
8) select language, time, currency, keyboard, or click next
9) In the left lower corner click repair your computer (do not click install)
10) Click troubleshoot
11) Click system restore (start with the oldest system restore point and keep repeating to the newest) (if there are no restore points or if system restore fails then move to the next step)
12) Click startup repair > if it displays that it created a srttrail.txt file report that in the thread
13) Click command prompt > this should open a black box with title bar: Administrator: X:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe with prompt: X:\Sources>
14) Use a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread displaying the command and the result
15) type these commands. (comments will be in parenthesis)
16) bcdedit /enum
17) bcdedit | find "osdevice"
18) C:
19) dir
20) D:
21) dir
22) (Choose the C: or the D: drive to proceed. It should be the windows drive and not the USB drive.)
23) (For this post I will use C: however you should pick the drive letter that you found that has the windows files on your computer.)
(The proper drive will display: perflogs, program files, program files (x86), users, windows, etc.)
24) cd \windows\system32\config
(It should display: C:\windows\system32\config>)
25) dir
(It should display: bbi, bcd-template, components, default, drivers, elam, sam, security, software, system, vsmidk, journal, regback, systemprofile txr, etc.)
26) (After the image is viewed it will be determined whether this method can or cannot be used to potentially fix the problem)

I tried up to step 11 already. Step 12 did create the file you mentioned.

On step 24, it says that "The System cannot find the path specified." I tried with both C: and D:.

What do I do now?
