Sandblast
Good morning all
I have a recurring nightmare where my disk space is being gobbled up by files that have to do with something called Sandblast.
I've noticed in my googling that it has something to do with some endpoint protection product, specifically zonealarm, which has been uninstalled, yet these files are UNdeletable by me as administrator or me as me.
Can anyone assist me in how to rid my drive of these folders and make them not re-occur?
Many thanks

Hi @UnklPlatz and welcome to W10F. I never heard of that one. Best way to avoid situations like that is to make and maintain an offline backup of system disk and any valuable files. Nothing else can actually 100% save you from malware.

Thank you @CountMike for the welcome.
This is the kind of nonsense that happens, I'm sure, when you speed through an installation process of a downloaded app (specially a "free" one), without taking note of what other bits it says it's going to install. Just a guess.
But strange and frustrating (infuriating) none the less.
The folder it makes is not as large as it used to be though. It's now under 500MB but still that's half a gig that i'd have liked to decide myself on what to do with

Which APP is that ? Is it from Store ?

What is SandBlastBackup folder and why is it +50gb folder, hidden and cannot be deleted without admin rights? : techsupport
nb: Make a system image using your favoured imaging program before you proceed with the removal (just in case things go wrong)
Good luck.
