Is there a way to show battery status on the lock and logon screens of the Windows 10 on a notebook computer?

Perhaps.. if you can find a suitable app from the Store, you can use this

Anyway, I tried creating an account simply for this, and the system told me that it doesn't look like I am connected to the Internet, and gave me an error code of 0x800704cf. Well, I am very much connected to the Net.

Its always been like this with MS. I just want to do something I end up having to fix A first, then before I could fix A, I need to fix B first, and so on.

No, I am not using a VPN. I even turn off the Windows Firewall to accommodate it, no go.

Yes, I know I have to check the error code.

If I do't use the Win 10 app and go to the store using the browser by logging in to my MS (email) account, it wants to verify my identity when I try to sign-in. I have to give it an alternate non-MS email address for it to send a verification code to, but it's never reaching the inbox or spam box.

I just did, and it's the same error. I did not use my other MS ID's because I knew it would simply collate all data in this system and still NOT give me what I need. You said go with Live, there you go.

I just moved to Win 10. I had been on a Win 7 system - and resisted Win 10 - for years. The keyboard and then the screen died, I chose to use external ones to stay with Win 7, instead of getting a new system with Win 10. Less than two weeks ago, the system board ultimately expired, so I had no choice but to move to this new Win 10 system. I am still transferring my stuff over, and trying to fix the various compatibility and non-operation issues.

Like many Windows users, I had stuck with XP for a long time until Win 7 came out. I had been dealing with issues MS has been dishing out on me for... ever since Win 3.11. Along the way, NT was the most bloody and Win 95 was the top lemon.

Today, Win 10, for Bill's sake, I just want to have a battery status on my lock or logon screen.
