Hi. I've recently performed a reset on my laptop due to some issues and when I performed a Disk Cleanup, it found that Previous Windows Installations consumes about 124GB of my drive. Will it be safe to delete this without losing the ability to perform another system reset in the future? Just wanted to make sure that deleting these files do not remove the option since I found Reset to be quite useful.
My Windows 10 version is 1803.

"Windows.old" should automatically delete itself after 30 days.
Do you have a 'recovery drive' on your laptop ?
If you do, then the 'Windows.old' shouldn't be necessary for a future reset.
If you want to play safe (as I did), just sit out the 30 days and let the file remove itself.
My old computer was a Window 7 and I took advantage of the free upgrade to Windows 10. A few months later my pc crashed and the only way I could get it up and running again was via the (Windows 7) rescue discs I had made when I bought the computer. I got Windows 7 back....and noticed the Windows.old file and tried to delete it. I did manage to delete the file but only after a lot of hassle. I then had to re-upgrade to Windows 10.
So my advice is: Do nothing.....and let the Windows.old file delete itself after 30 days.

No, I don't have a recovery drive. I really wanted to free up some space but guess I'll just have to wait it out. Thanks!

Reset save files is useful but at times it may fail.

After the reset save files Windows will install default drivers.
For better performance open the Asus website > support > enter the model or product or serial number > select the operating system > view drivers > install all applicable Asus drivers
For any drivers needed and not displayed on the Asus website open the websites for the component manufactures (Intel, Nvidia, AMD, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc.) to download drivers.
Another option is to make a backup image (Aoemi, Acronis, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.)

What problems had you had that led to the reset?
Compared to C: what is on partition D:?
Aim to have 15 - 20% free space on the Windows drive for optimal performance.
External HD are relatively inexpensive for the size with a 4TB HD approximately $100 when on sale.
This would enable you to make a backup image.
Then if there is boot failure, malware, ransomware, etc. you should have a margin of safety.
For Windows old you can wait for automatic deletion or manually delete.

Actually ajay123....looking at your screenshot, you DO appear to have a 'recovery partition'.
I know in my previous post I referred to it as a DRIVE which probably caused confusion.

I was using my laptop then closed the lid. After awhile, I got back to it and found that the Wifi status in the lower right was marked red and that no Wifi was detected, even though I was just surfing the net before it happened and my phone can still detect the wifi. I shut it down then booted it up but now the speaker status in the lower right is marked red. I tried opening settings but it automatically closes.
Regarding what's in my drives, the C mostly contains music, videos and some school files like lectures and such. D is where I store most of my games and backups of games.
And yeah, I'll try to keep 15-20% free in Windows drive from now on. I really wanted to free up space that's why I ran disk cleanup to see files that can be deleted and found Windows.old consuming 124GB.

Had you downloaded fresh drivers from the Asus website after the reset save files?
Open device manager > click view > show hidden devices > manually expand all rows > look for any row displaying a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark or unknown device > post an image into the thread
