Sorry if I am sounding dense, but the instructions in the message to which I am reply is rather different from what you had posted earlier.
Is this what I should do:
1. Download the file from Dell.
2. Delete the file, Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, in Control Panel.
3. Run the downloaded Dell file.
As you have no doubt already deduced, I am not a computer software person; in fact, I have never taken a single course of anything related to computing. I know how to do somethings, others (such as this one), I have never done, having only been computing since March, 1983, a very short time span in terms of my academic background as a medieval historian. Thus, I simply need to be certain that I understand what you are telling me, but translated as it were into my words.
