ending task??

trying to end a task in the task manager and it keeps jumping around how do I stop it so I can find the task I want to end!!

Try clicking on 'Name' to sort the list alphabetically - it dosn't jump around as much as sorting by CPU or Memory usage.

In the Processes or the Details tab you can change the sort order by clicking on the name of a column. If you are currently sorted by CPU or disk activity the tasks will jump around as activity changes. Just click on the word 'Name' at the top of top that column to sort by name.
