    How to delete microsoft.net folder


    Is this possible? I've been having problems with NET Framework, uninstalled it, and when I tried to reinstall it, got this message: "The file or directory is corrupt and unreadable.Error Code - 0x80070570

    I tried sfc scan which found problems it couldn't solve no matter how often I ran it, in safe mode and regular mode.

    I tried DISM, which completed but still left the problem unsolved.

    I tried downloading Net framework from a Windows ISO disk using DISM and that didn't work.

    I tried a system restore and that didn't work.

    I tried a refresh, and that didn't work.

    I haven't tried reset yet, but I'm guessing that the result will be the same.

    I also tried the NetFramework repair tool and that didn't work.

    I tried to delete the file manually, and I wasn't "allowed."

    I tried the netframework clean up tool that was supposed to completely get rid of NET framework files as a last resort, and I still have the file in there.

    In short, unless I can somehow get rid of that file completely, I think I may have to do a complete clean install of windows, which I'd rather not do? Any ideas.

    Have you run a full disk check as its saying its corrupt?

    Did the check disk scan from within Windows. Found nothing.

    See here: Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk from KYHI. Create a bootable flash drive. Boot it then run chkdsk against your OS partition. Once that completes you should be able to delete the NETFramework folder. or better yet, just rename it for now then you should be able to reinstall. If thaty completes okay then you can delete it afterwards.
