How to stop a txt file from auto opening at login (Not at startup)

I had a txt file that I set to open during login. I'm most sure that it loaded at login, not startup. I have since deleted the file and cannot find where to stop the error that i get during login ("Can't find txt file"). I'm aware of the startup folder that contains the files that will open during startup, but the txt file in question is not in that folder. That is the startup file that is accessed with "run" and "shell:startup". Thank you.

How did you set it up? Did you use a batch file or a script, or just a shortcut to it?
That's actually the problem... I don't remember where I went to set it up. It's not a batch or script. I navigated to some point in the windows settings and most likely placed a shortcut there. I've searched every where and at every setting that I can think of or find without success. The reason that I think it's at login (and not startup) is that it didn't work at first until I found an option that gave me the login option. When I selected that, the file would open when I powered my computer. Note that I only have one user (me) and also am setup for auto login. I'm going to look over your suggestions and watch for other replies. Thanks.

The answer to that is what caused the problem. I didn't know that I used Cortana to set it up. When you suggested that I use Cortana to search for the txt file as a scheduled task, I did that. It was then that I realized that it was the location where I had entered the task. When I saw the "run at log on of any user" choice, I remembered the screen.

I launched Cortana from the Apps list after clicking the windows start on the left of the task bar. Thanks again.
