Laptop randomly freezes, no bootable device

Hi All, my laptop has been experiencing random freezes recently, they can occur at anytime, from idling to the middle of gaming

I first lose the sound, then most of my programs will stop responding (windows is still running and I can still move my mouse though) until everything finally freezes and it gives me a no bootable device screen.

There is no BSOD screen and I've done sfc scannow, chkdisk, mdsched, disk cleanup and all show no problem, i cannot find any info from the reliability history or event monitor, only that the shutdown was unexpected.

Can anyone give me some advice to troubleshoot the issue?

What is the age of the laptop and which parts have been replaced or added?

When did you see no bootable device?
How did you boot or troubleshoot when you saw this message?

1) Open the website for the computer manufacturer > support > enter the product or serial number or model > select the operating system > view drivers > post a URL or hyperlink into the thread

2) Update the system specs in the "My Computer" section:
System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Windows 10 Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

3) There are two log collectors: DM and BETA
The beta log collector at some time will replace the DM log collector.
The beta log collector collects more useful folders and files.
Run the beta log collector and post a zip into this thread.

(Use extract all > open)

4) If you cannot boot to windows then power off the computer and power on two additional times in succession.
For each power off attempt to time it with the appearance of the Windows icon.
On the third power on allow the computer to launch the computers Windows advanced troubleshooting menu.
Then perform startup repair. If startup repair fails then advance to the next step.
Perform system restore. Start with the oldest system restore point and keep repeating to the most recent restore point.
If this fails the open command prompt. This should launch a black box with title bar: Administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe and with prompt: X:\sources>
Type: chkdsk /r C:
Reboot as needed.
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.

5) If you are not able to open the computers windows advanced troubleshooting menu then find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB)
6) Create a bootable windows 10 iso: (Windows 10 build 1803)
Download Windows 10


7) Report the progress with the above steps into the thread.
