hey there i did not bought this last time. But just to confirm

this is the one that works as confirmed by posters here

Amazon.com: Dell Power Companion 6 Cell 18000 mAh (WCKF2): Computers Accessories

But what about this one? Saw a few reviews and some ppl mention dell xps 15 9570. I have the xps 15 9550. So this should be fine or its better?

You'd probably want to examine the Dell info for this first - here is a Dell UK link - https://pilot.search.dell.com/PW7018LC

Whilst it seems to have the same general arrangement as the PW7015L [it sits on the end of the normal power lead and has its own connection lead into the computer's power input socket], it would only work with those Dell power input sockets for which its own lead is designed** & for those Dell power leads that fit into the PW7018LC's own power input sockets.
[** My PW7015L had two power input sockets on it and it has two leads so it can cope with different Dell computer models]

If the Dell info does not confirm compatibility with any given Dell computer model then all you could go on would be statements by other customers in Amazon reviews or third-party technical reviews online. Using any of those to make your decision would be riskier than basing your decision on Dell info alone.

I am about to disappear for a couple of weeks so will probably not be able to contribute much more..

    Pauly,

The answer is that I do not know. Until your post yesterday I did not know it existed.

If the compatibility tab in the Dell product page for the new one does not explicitly mention your computer then you could
    - take the word of the product specs / reviewers you found on Amazon or wherever it was then get the new one
    or
    - you could recheck the compatibility tab in the Dell product page for the one we were talking about before then get that.

Okay im going to purchase it but want to confirm few other things.

Amazon.com: Dell Power Companion 6 Cell 18000 mAh (WCKF2): Computers Accessories

There is an option to buy a 4 cell that is 12000mAh for 40 dollars plus tax. The 4 cell usb-c one is 93 dollars.

The 6 cell one 18000 mAh is 100 dollars plus tax.

How long would i get if i get the 4 cell one? What about the 4 cell usb-c? Do those weigh less than the 6 cell one? So no matter which one i buy, the 6 cell one will be the heaviest and also give the most battery correct?

Also want to comment on another thing. My dell xps 15 9550, there seems to be 2 different types i believe in terms of battery for the internal battery.

Example some xps 15 9550 has a 84W battery. Mine however has the 56W battery.

Would that mean anything to this?

Hey try3, im going to buy the product soon. Do you recommend getting it directly from dell or from amazon? Amazon it seems like its from a certain seller and shows fulfulled by amazon. That seller however only has a 92% feedback. But i get it quick because of amazon prime. Should i get it directly through dell then even though it takes longer?

Also if i return it, its a much bigger hassle with dell as oppose to amazon right? Previously i had no issue with amazon when returning things.

Hey there. Im going to buy the product directly from dell. You say that is good then?

I think thats better than amazon because the current seller it seems only has 92% feedback. Since they say fulfilled by amazon, that is basically the seller having it at amazons warehouse right? I did see the reviews from the seller where some say they send used items as new etc. 92% feedback also doesn't seem that good to me on amazon. Your thoughts on this?

Is it easier to return something to dell? I bought from dell many times but never had to return anything because everything i bought from them were great.

I have never tried to return anything to Dell so I do not know.

I am not in the US so I do not know how Amazon in the US behave & I do not know what US consumer laws are. In the UK, Amazon fulfils its responsibilities as a retailer properly for items "Fulfilled by Amazon" including the need to repair/replace items if they prove to be faulty. I would only ever buy anything expensive like this if it was either directly from Amazon or was "Fulfilled by Amazon".
