Intel NUC: windows resized after waking from sleep

    System: Intel NUC 54250WYKH
    Monitor: Acer T232HL (1920x1080)
OS: Windows 10 Pro (clean install)

When my NUC wakes from sleep mode, existing windows are sized and positioned as if the display resolution had changed to a much lower value (e.g. 1024x768) during sleep but was restored to 1920x1080 after waking. The windows are smaller and positioned in the upper-left corner of the display. This happens with any program I have running when the system goes to sleep (e.g. File Explorer, Visual Studio 2015, etc.).

This problem didn't happen with Win8 on the same computer.

Is anyone else seeing a similar problem and/or know of a fix?
    Thanks

I'm having the same problem on a Thinkpad T450s. It happens when I open the lid to restart the computer. It doesn't happen when I put the computer to sleep via the start menu. Very, very annoying. Would be great if someone has an idea how to fix this. I did a complete and clean reinstall of Win10 via the Media Creation Tool, and the problem is persisting.

EDIT: It doesn't happen to metro apps however. Or not to the Settings app, which is the only one I use...
It also only happens to windows which are neither fullscreen nor snapped to one side.

I haven't found a fix for it yet. I don't use any Metro apps so I haven't seen how they perform.

what iv learned about this issue for the past few years is this...
yes its drivers - but it's also windows and monitor hardware... so one side fix may not be the entire answer.
the only way i've been able to solve the issue is with a "deadhead" or dummy plug with an output to a real monitor.
if you do a search for - Virtual Display Adapter HDMI EDID Dummy Plug - you'll get your fix.
a small simple plug that goes in line with the monitor plug and keeps the "line" alive even when the monitor goes off / gets unplugged or otherwise.
in my scenario everything worked fine until i awoke my screens (i have 5 on my setup) and one would be "re-found" every time, and reset my window positions...after the plug everything works perfect.

they sell for as high as $20 each but i found them on e-Bay for under $10. with many options for what plug type needed - vga, hdmi, dvi, displayport.

hope this helps someone as iv been dealing with it for years and finally can sleep at night knowing my powersave is working...lol

Can you explain it detail, please?

Can you explain it please detailed? I have found different Dummy plugs, but they are separate plugs with "dead end", so I cannot mount my monitor on the graphic card when I use your dummy plug. For example I have an Nvidia Geforce 1660 Super: 1 DVI port, 1 HDMI port and 1 Displayport... When I plug a HDMI-Dummy-plug in --> I cannot plug my Monitor to this HDMI connector on my graphic card.
Can you explain please how did you do it? I am desprerate.
    Thanks a lot!
