    no superfetch service at 1809???


    was looking to disable superfetch but i cant find it in services.
    any clues?

    This is a screenshot from my 17763 Insider build, the one that will become 1809. Apparently, not. It does not show.

    If you have an SSD, superfetch isn't really needed.

    Looks like it's been gone since 17682. I just never noticed, cause I let "Insider" just do it's thing. Disabled on SCU 1803.

    "Superfetch" has been renamed to "SysMain" in services.msc

    I know because I have v1809 RTM build 17763.1 installed on some of my PCs and I notice the name change

    it's not gone - just been renamed

    How about that! It must have been buried way down deep in the Insider release notes, or not at all. It lives! I'll have to make note of that for my "Tweak List". Thanks.

    Looking at the properties of superfetch service in 1803 it shows the Service name is SysMain and the Display name is Superfetch. What does SysMain properties show in 1809. Did MS just change the Display name?
