AxCrypt is what I think I will go with, I got an email from them and it does exactly what I want.

The best and absolutely easy and free method to protect your files is to attach them in an archive and put a password. For that you need WinRAR software and two keys (Ctrl + P).

    Good luck !

If I press Ctrl + P it prints it out.

Could be a bit embarrassing that if your mum was in the room.

If you were looking at documents describing changes in concentration of aluminum in ores in Antarctica since 1920 you'd probably be OK though.

Unless your mum was particularly interested in metal I guess.

    Eaglepi,

What I would suggest is to save all your private files onto a good quality small USB Device, and unplug it when you're done. Then physically hide that USB Device where only you know where it is.

    SanDisk is very high quality:

I am also, Had I scrolled down far enough I may have seen the solved button and would've selected it on post 24 as I said above. However, because I'm using the quick reply and have each time my window doesn't scroll down so I didn't see the buttons. I'm sorry if that cause confusion. Thanks for everybody's input I appreciate it
