    Isn't that interesting that for the same device and same driver they only offer one option under tapping in Spanish but 2 options in English, and the one in spanish isn't even the same as one of the two in english?
    Absolutely :)
    Maybe they assumed that the Spaniards have less fingers at hands!!

    Windows 10 is driving me crazy.

    Hi

    I've just installed windows 10 on my laptop. Initially a box on the left hand side telling me about cortana kept popping up so I switched cortanat off. Now the box just keeps popping up constantly, asking me to start typing to search the web or for apps etc.

    This is driving me mad. I'm not 100% sure yet but it seems to be connected to scrolling down but also seems to be popping up quite randomly. In the last half hour it has popped up at various intervals from as little as 10-20 seconds to as 'long' as 2-3 minutes. There is no 'close' box and I can't see how to get rid of this really annoying feature.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

    Hi, i'm going through the same thing with windows, the ask me anything pops up all the time, the zoom goes crazy, going big to small the whole time that I am on the computer. Please if you find a salutation, let me know, .Thank you

    Hello All,
    Just some further input and looking for some help also.

    I have a surface pro and am using a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. I am also experiencing this problem. I will be typing and all of a sudden the search box appears in the top right corner and my typing switches to the search box. Very frustrating. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    I may have found a solution. Click the start button and select settings. Then select Devices. Click on Mouse and Touch Pad and scroll to the bottom and select "Additional Mouse Options." This brings up a box that should have the information and name of the type of touch pad your computer has. Mine says "Synaptics Touch Pad....". Click on settings and then in the new box that pops up you should see a tab that says "Tapping". Open that tab and you should then see "Three Finger Tap" and "Four Finger Tap". Uncheck those boxes and then click "Apply". That should take care of it. I'm no computer expert so I hope that's easy to follow. So far I've not had the box pop up anymore.

    Apparently you can open the Search/Cortana box with a 3 finger click and my touch pad must have been getting confused.
    This worked for me, thank you a million times over, this has been driving me mad for almost a year now! You saved my sanity
    I turned off (unchecked) the '3 finger tap' option and that stupid thing hasn't popped up once since!!

    I did try all the suggestions that I could find on this site and other sites. NOTHING HELPED and Cortana keeps popping when I do normal things, like editing text in a file, filling a field, clicking on a picture, etc. Not only this is unwanted and counterproductive, but Microsoft is silent about it. With the quantity of feedback on the web, it is impossible they do not know. In addition, it came to their attention that it was possible to disable Cortana in the basic Windows 10. So they came up with the Anniversary Edition to cancel this ability. Isn't that vicious? This cavalier attitude is angering to the point that I have made a decision: my next computer will not be a windows computer.

    Did you try to edit registry (regedit) ?

    Yes and the parameter in question was already 0, which means that the software ignores the parameter in use before the release of the Anniversary Edition.

    As per my own experience it shouldn't be 0 (zero) but it must be deleted completely. Look at the content of my registry for that key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Win10

    You see? There is no any of following values because I deleted all of them:

    "3FingerTapAction"=dword:00000000
    "3FingerTapPlugInActionID"=dword:00000061
    "3FingerTapPlugInID"="SynTP"
    "3FingerPressButtonAction"=dword:00000004
