I use a Microsoft Account to sign into at least 3 home PC's using the latest normal build of Window 10.
On only 1 PC/Laptop ... i have somehow managed to make the Cortana Menu (Windows Key + Q), extended ... so that it offers additional options for anything including APPs ... and not just web search options.
Searching around the web finds useless results.
Does anyone else have this and know how to enable/disable

I am so glad, to see this thread, I was going to ask this question about Cortana, about a week or two ago, when I first noticed it.
First of all, I am not an insider, and I only have a local account. Never had a Microsoft account.
I believe Cortana, went into this extended viewing mode, sometime around the, .285 or the .286 build, which I am currently on. all updates are installed.
I prefer the smaller version of Cortana.
Also on my computer the cortana people button display is defective. If I open cortana, then click on the people button ( just below the settings button ) , the SEND and CANCEL BUTTON, are partially covered over by the search bar.
Anyone else see this when clicking on that button ?
Anyway, just wanted to thank the poster, for bringing this subject up !!
By the way,.... I have 3 computers, here at home. This only happened on one of them. A Dell Inspiron 15, 5558. The other two, shows Cortana in the NON- Extended mode.

Ray, I have it occur same as you, 1 of 3. All latest updates (not insider). Looking at the other threads Dalchina mentioned ... I think it might have triggered on this one laptop which I take to work and we NAT translate to USA up addresses.
