    Monitor Usable Space is Too Large for Screen


    Something happened about a month ago where the usable area of the screen is not all visible. For instance, when a desktop item is updated the icon for it will appear in the upper left corner of the screen...but only the right half will be visible. It appears that the monitor is trying to show an image that is set for a larger monitor. Tried numerous things, including Microsoft help/chat with no success.

    Is your computer set up for dual monitors? Look under "Display Settings" right click menu?

    Use the Auto button on your monitor to have it adjust for proper screen setup.
    Check Display Settings (right click on the Desktop) and make sure the Resolution is set right.

Instead of the icons being right next to each other on my bottom toolbar, there is about a one inch gap between them; anyway to get them to be right next to each other, the way they always have been? thanks!
