How do I reset the directory font size?

I have an old program that runs well on Windows 10, except for one problem: it resets the directory font size to teeny-tiny and I have to reboot to get back the default size. That tiny size also makes it difficult to move things because I can't read it without getting a magnifying glass. Is there a way to reset the directory font size without rebooting?

What program? Are you running is in Widows XP emulation mode?

Maybe it's time to find another program?

It's in Windows 7 emulation mode, Paperport Pro 9.0. I don't use it enough to justify the outlay. Everything works just fine except for the directory font issue.

Try Vista or XP Emulation mode, see if that makes a difference?

I'll try that, but how do I change the emulator within reinstalling?

Try right clicking on the executable, properties then compatibility. See if you can do it from there.

I've now tried every compatibility mode available. I decided to troubleshoot and got the message that it was a known issue and that I could upgrade, for sizeable fee, of course. It's very strange, though, because only the directory font is affected.

Would a program like Picassa do basically the same thing? Even Photos that comes with Windows 10 may have a similar function.

No, Picassa does not do the same thing as Paperport. I use it occasionally to scan pages and combine them in PDF format. I havent found another program that does that.

Scan the pages, print to PDF (Microsoft PDF Printer is part of Windows 10)? Maybe not as easy or straight forward but definitely doable and pretty easy really.
