As you have Home you don't have the Group Policy Editor.

So that's your only option. But back up beforehand: System Restore point; back up the particular key to be changed /deleted; disk image. (You do use disk imaging routinely as often recommended here, don't you? E.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + large external storage for disk image sets).

You can install the Local Group Policy Editor on Windows 10 Home. Here's a link with the download and info.

Well you can do that, but it may not always have the effect you want.

It may well be that you only need to run a DISM command.

If you are using Windows 10 Home edition or Single Language edition and want to enable Group Policy Editor program, this method will help you.

Actually Windows 10 Home and Single Language editions already come with Group Policy Editor program packages included but its disabled by default so users can't launch the program. But we can activate and enable the program using DISM command.

IMO there's quite a bit of unnecessary fearmongering about the Windows registry. Provided you're sensible, follow advice like dalchina's about creating a System Restore point and/or exporting a copy of any registry keys to be worked on then it's very unlikely you'll have a problem.

For example, this thread involves deleting a couple of keys... so if you export a copy of the key(s) first (say to the desktop) then delete the keys, if you subsequenty wish you hadn't done it then it's a quick and easy matter just to re-import the info from the copies you exported... and considerably faster than restoring a System Restore point.

    Hope this helps....
