MS is telling me my Windows is out of date

    I am running 1803 (OS Build 17134.228).

When I go to the Windows Store it tells me I am not up to date. The link tells me the following. I thought I was up to date. Why is Microsoft telling me I am not? And more importantly what problems will I have because it thinks I am not?

Your version of Windows 10 is out of date

Your device is running an older version of Windows 10. To continue to receive security updates and enjoy the latest features Windows 10 has to offer, you need to update your device to a newer version of Windows 10.*"

As far as I can tell. I don't install anything. MS does.

WU says "You're up to date" "Last checked: Today, 4:49 PM"

    Update History:

    2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4343909)
    Successfully installed on 8/15/2018

My update history says that update is for Flash Player, not a cumulative update. The latest cumulative update I have is
    Cumulative Update KB4343909 Windows 10 v1803 Build 17134.228. (Also on 8/15/2018).

Try manually checking for updates, Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update>Check for Updates.

Yeah I copied it wrong. Its KB4343909.|

Checking for updates finds nothing, since I'm up to date. I guess I just chalk it up to another MS glitch. But I don't like them using scare tactics that I won't get updates, I'm at risk blah blah when everything is up to date. smh

17134.228 is fully up to date.

Maybe it's the Store itself that's out of date? It hasn't been called the Windows Store for a very long time....
This is to mark the renaming of the Windows Store to Microsoft Store...
    Windows Store Icon keeps changing

Try opening the Store and in its settings look for and update the Store itself. Then if it the Store is still saying you are out of date, post a screenshot so we can see what exactly is going on. Store apps and the Store itself are not updated through windows update. The Store manages updates for all Store apps, including the Store itself.

That did it, or at least its not showing that message (it was really a tile) when I open the store. I rarely use the Microsoft Store (got the name right) so hadn't updated it, but now that MS is part of Movies Anywhere I will be. Seems odd an old version of the store would do that but its resolved. Thanks.
