Finding unknown crashing process or program

    Hi

This afternoon (Sunday 26th Aug) I've started getting a Crash Log message appear on my PC with the following message:

    Crash Logs
The program or a background process quit unexpectedly. Would you like to send information about this to the developer?

It then gives me the option of sending the info to the developer (whoever that may be!!!) with a Yes and No button

It doesn't tell me what process or program or give any other info at all. So my question is: how the hell do I find out what is happening and what is the process/program involved. I know this is a very vague question but I really am providing all the info I am being given. Basically something is crashing on my PC and I don't know or know how to find out what is crashing. I have reason to believe I ought to be able to find out using Event Viewer - but how?

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Reliability monitor (history) should give you the general info:

Click start and start typing reliab… it should appear. It is part of Control panel

I would be careful about clicking on that buttons. Could be malware too.

Edit: Are you using Keenai Desktop?

    Hi

I've found out what was causing my problem. I'd only just installed System Mechanic when it all started. I've now removed the program and everything seems to be OK again.

Thank you Tracey. This was driving me crazy. Deleting System Mechanic seems to have solved this irritating problem. The Windows message was utterly useless.

    Thanks again.
