And, by the way, AMD discovered the same problems with their processors, but continued to say they weren't compromised after learning same. Kind of a lie by omission.

Except those were 2 different problems, Intel and AMD because of different architecture.

I think VW paid a lot out in class action Court cases.

Dunno, but I'd guess no one went to jail. Lots of fines, probably; I think hitting the whole company in the pocket book is much more effective than sending one or two baddies to jail.
