    Unable to install fonts - Invalid font file


    I just did a fresh install of windows 10 pro yesterday. I finished installing everything, steam, AV software, etc.

    I tried to play visual novel or install a font for a steam skin and I keep getting an invalid font file. When I create a new user, I can install fonts but here is the catch. If I log off and log back into that new user, I can no longer install fonts. Get the same error I am having now.

    I had this issue before I wiped but I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing it. I have tried all sorts of guides, which most point to Windows Firewall not running but mine is running.

    I have also tried to convert the font files and install them, same issue. I really don't want to wipe again, I have a ton of data to move.

    Third party, not a website that Microsoft recognises, due to possible malware or questionable software, can be the issue. Find a better Font repository. Segoe UI comes with Windows. Why you are downloading it, can be a issue with why Windows will not allow it to be installed. Fontspace.com has Victorian Fonts. One of many Font repositories.
