    CMD window closing as soon as opened


    This just started about two weeks ago. As soon as use the CMD command the window closes right away.
    Doing some research, I think possibly it occurred after my computer got infected with a miner. My antivirus killed it right away and dozens of full scans indicate I am virus free.
    However, researching it it looks like I am dealing with aftermath.

    I am part of the insider program and have two new builds installed but that didn’t fix the issue. Does anyone have any insight on what I can do ?

    Have you tried the individual file for CMD from this tutorial. (You click on CMD)

    Restore Default File Type Associations in Windows 10

    Have a look at over tutorial.

    As with any changes to registry I would recommend having an Image back up made with a third party tool like Macrium or Acronis

    Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect
