How to move a program files folder from C drive to another drive

    Hello Peepz
My first post so hello to all.
I have a windows 10 pc (x64) hence me joining the community ;-)
    I have a samsung 850 evo 250GB SSD ( C Drive ) & a Seagate FireCuda SSHD 1TB ( D drive )
I'm in a predicament where my kids play a lot of games on the PC, Fortnite being one of the popular ones.
I downloaded Epic Games for them to play Fortnite, It is in my Programs Files on my C drive.
Now recently I checked & it using most of the data on my SSD, 50.0GB to be precise.
What I want to ask is there a way I can move just this folder to my D drive so to free up space on my C drive?
There is also a Epic Games folder in Programs Files (x86) but that is only 358MB so not a big issue, I'll move this if I can move the bigger folder first.
If this is not possible then the only other way is to delete the folder & re-install it on the D drive but i'm scared they will lose all there saved data.

I have seen videos where they show how to move all your folders from Program Files onto another drive but I don't want to do that & also read this causes problems to the PC with software updates etc.
    Any advise is appreciated.
    thankz

    Hi icemen,

    Welcome to 10forums

From what I read (source: How to move Fortnite game folder to another drive? -

), it is possible to move the data to another location (assuming it's games we're talking). You might need to change a few settings within Epic Games and 'reinstall' the games by verifying the files in the new location. It's pretty similar to how Steam, Origin and Uplay work, not sure if you're familiair with them.

You may not be able to move the Game file itself to a different drive, but you can move the Game Saves file which is what's taking up most of the space.
