    W10Pro_x64 B1907 and DotNet 2.0/3.5

    Hail:

    I installed me wife's PC with Windows 10 Professional x64, Build 1907.
Now, she has a few programs that require the old DotNet 2.0 and DotNet 3.5.

I went into Control Panel/Programs and Features/windows Features, checked the DotNet 2.0 and 3.5, klicked OK, it went to search for the files, and... hung at 90%.
    Reboot, redo, same result.

    New approach:
I downloaded the Offline Installers (tiny exe files), ran these as Admin, but they too want to download the same files that hang at 90%.
Apparently, i cannot find a TRUE Offline installer (that has all in one package), for some reason, and the programs i get to install both versions keep botching up.

    Please advice?

    Thank you.

Hi, I think this is what you've tried:
How To Enable .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.5 in Windows 10 and 8.1

Could be you'll just need to be patient or maybe even try a different DNS - at least that's what I though until reading some posts that suggest that download hanging is quite common.

    Notice the last post here:

    - is Windows Update working normally? Try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Otherwise, this gives a means of doing so using your installation medium:

    Thank you.

    Fixes did not work.

Do you have links to actual offline installers for 2,0 and 3.5?

    Thank you.

Sergey Tkachenko at WinAero has a nice step-by-step on his site entitled "Offline install of .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows 10 using DISM." That covers 3.5. Presumably if you can identify and obtain the necessary package for 2.0 (it may be included with this 3.5 package, though) you could use the same general approach to add it to a Win10 OS image as well.
