Windows 10 Refresh has made changes

I had a problem with my wife's windows 10 laptop which I resolved by refreshing windows, removing everything. Before the refresh if I clicked on 'This pc' it showed folders entitled Desktop, documents, downloads, music, pictures and videos, Under each of the six folders was written 'This pc'

Also, if I clicked on C;//users, there were two folders - C;//users/Catherine and C;//users/public.

After the refresh, clicking on This pc showed the desktop, downloads, music and videos folders as This pc folders, but documents and pictures have been changed to one drive folders. Furthermore, if I click on C;//Users, there are still only two folders, but Catherine has changed to Kanto C;//users/Kanto and C;//users/publicCatherine

Why have some of the system folders been changed to one drive and can I change these back to My pc folders?

Also why has changed to Kanto and can I change this back to Catherine.?

There is only one user, which is Catherine who is the administrator, and there are no local users.

    Hi maiduguri

Was hoping someone with more OneDrive experience would answer.

OneDrive is part of Windows and likely when you refreshed device it quietly asked about using and away it went. The are several OneDrive tutorials from Brink within the Library. This is one. Myself I would make a complete copy of your wifes data on an external drive. If something happens as you unwind then at least you will have a good copy. (Test it.)

Option 2 in this tutorial seems to be what you are looking for

Turn On or Off Folder Protection with OneDrive in Windows 10

You will notice at bottom of tutorial there are links to others tutorials and they in turn are linked. Another member with more OneDrive experience could join thread.

As to the name change I might be inclined to leave it as is as it does not impact access. We have another excellent tutorial on changing.

Change User Name of Account in Windows 10

Before doing either of these fixes know you have a copy of her data on an external device. Reloading Windows is a pain, losing data is disastrous.
