    Windows 10 won't boot

About two weeks ago my computer stopped booting with the window pane and rotating dots. I went through several iterations of repair and reset, rebuilding my applications and took the machine to my local computer repair shop, They replaced my SSD System drive, and I have rebuilt my machine again. Today I was reinstalling MacDrive 10 on the machine and it needed to restart and again it stopped booting with the window pane and rotating dots. I have since reset the machine and added some crucial apps. I talked to the computer repair person and he suggested looking at the device drivers starting with the display driver. I checked, I have a GeForce 210 with the latest driver.
The machine itself is about eight years old with replaced hard disks. It originally had Windows 7 with the upgrade to Windows 10 and has been continuously updated since. Do any of you have some idea why this is happening since there is a brand new system disk, something else is getting in the way of the system booting. Thank you.

Hi TerryStraehley. Welcome to the TenForums @TerryStraehley

You said this happen right after installing MacDrive when you went to reboot. I don't use MacDrive so this is a guess. Another member might have a definitive answer.

When you install Windows you can install UEFI or legacy and the disks can be GPT or MBR.

There must be some document that talks what MacDrive is expecting. Have you got these lineup?

The "My Computer" information displays windows 7.
Please update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

Were you able to boot windows?
Were you able to open the windows advanced troubleshooting menu on the computer?
A system restore may be able to get you back to a working windows.
If not, report that into the thread for help returning to a bootable windows 10 OS.

Once you are back on the desktop open disk management and post an image into the thread.
There are two disk management columns to widen (status and volume) before posting the image.

May I suggest to that you use a Disk Imager on the next try so that you do not need to load windows from scratch.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

Once you have image you can do a restore very quickly.

If you can boot WIndows from a disk, see link below, could you post what your harddrive looks like.

This is along the lines of what zbook had posted.

As @Caledon Ken says using disk imaging will help you. Follow this pattern:

Install Windows. As soon as you can, install Macrium Reflect (free) and create a base image of your Windows partitions (there's a button on the left which should automatically select those). You'll need a large external disk to write your images to.

Start a simple text log - keep it where you can read it next time the OS won't boot.

Now start configuring your OS. Keep a record of each change in your log.

After you have made a few changes (make decision based on complexity, time to reproduce, risk...) create a differential image with MR. Now you can always return to that point by restoring from that image.

    Continue that process.

Next time your PC becomes unbootable simply restore the latest image, review your log.
See if any change made relates to your problem.

If there's no consistency in changes vs PC becoming unbootable, there's clearly another issue.

Don't forget to consider a BIOS update.

    Windows wont Boot

    Windows 10 won't boot-capture.png

I have attached the disk management screenshot as requested. I'm not sure of the value.
I have updated my system information to Windows 10 Pro. I don't have the other information handy right now. I have Acronis True Image and can use that to clone my system disk.
However. I'm leaving tomorrow for two weeks and won't have access to the problem computer until I return. I will have internet and will be watching this forum and responding. I can't answer many questions until I return.
Thank you for the help so far.

When posting disk management images please widen the columns so that the characters in each row are in full view and so that the txt is not cut off: widen each: status and volume

Can I ask where is MacDrive which drive does it get installed on? I'm guessing Disk 0, the one with C:

Is disk 0 partitioned MBR or GPT?

Right click the words disk 0 in disk management, properties, volumes tab, disk information box, fourth line down.

I read this, does this mean you get an option on how to install, GPT vs MBR?
