Try putting this on a USB and booting it : Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk

Then copy the WindowsApps directory from a downloaded Windows 10 ISO to your C drive. You can download the ISO file here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

I don't know if it would work but is worth a try. If you didn't change anything else then it should.

I'll try, where would the folder be on the ISO?

Can I check system logs from that tool?

The way to protect yourself from such mistakes, also unbootable or unrecoverable situations - even disk failure (you'll need a new disk) is to use disk imaging routinely.

If you have, as we constantly recommend, a recently created disk image of Windows then you can recover to a previously working state quite quickly and probably without needing technical help.

That way you can be back up and running without a lot of stress and uncertainty, and save a lot of time.

I suggest you need to seriously consider using disk imaging routinely (Macrium Reflect (free) + large external storage) to protect your PC and your data, once you recover from this.

I will start doing it xD

Is there a way to check logs and events of Windows from RE? I think maybe reading those I could get more info about the problem...

    You can use 7-zip.

Mount the ISO (just double click on it) then the directory is in <some letter>\Sources\Install.esd (or Install.wim) like this:

    It is in C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs

Not sure if it would be useful for you in this case though.

    I'll check.

Can barely use the tool, gives tons of BSOD...

You don't have to - you can use command line from RE.

The idea of the recovery USB is that it is easier - it has explorer and various useful apps included.

If it doesn't work for you then forget it - extract the directory from the ISO to a USB (lets call it D) and then boot into RE and use:

    xcopy /herky "D:\Program Files\WindowsApps" "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\"

substituting whatever your correct drive letters are when booted into RE (C and D may have different letters)

    Whatever you find easier :)
