Start Menu Full Text Labels instead of Icons

    Hi,

I just installed Windows 10 and have been watching some youtube videos and tutorials about it. During some of the videos I noticed the start menu was different to mine. So I was wondering how do I enable full texted labels instead of just the icons when I click the start menu.

    See image

I want my start menu to look like "Before" with icons and text and not "After" with only icons.

    Cheers,

Sorry but I didn’t find any related topics to munch question. Can you please suggest me any of Start Menu Tools for Windows 10? I really can’t get used to original one. I’ve downloaded one tool from here *Start Menu X but I need something else to compare and to choose the best. Thanks!

    Hi,

If you click on the three lines at top left of the start menu it opens to the right to show text. Is that what you mean?

Took me a while to see what you're after. You want words for the (dumb) icons on the very left? To do that, right-click the Start button.

    Hi,

Sorry I didn't make it more clear. when I click on the start menu only (one click) I want to see the full expanded text, without having to click on the three lines at the top. I noticed some users have that option, where as mine only shows the icons.

So when I click start I want to see the "before" screen (file explorer, power, settings text) and not the "after" screen where it's just icons and I have to click on the three lines to see the expanded text.

    Hope it's more clean now?

Thanks for clarifying, but I'm afraid I don't know how you would do that.
