    Win10 Emoji Panel Won't Open

    Hi All,
I also posted this same question here...
Entering Emoji on Hardware Keyboard with Emoji Panel in Windows 10

    Anyway,

I'm running the latest version of win 10 and the emoji panel will not open,
    using either + ., or + ; key's.

I've done a system file check and no integrity violations were found.

Is there a know service, that needs to be turned on/running for this to work?
Or maybe there's a setting I've overlooked, or perhaps turned off?

Any suggestion on how to correct this issue, would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    As a side note:
The emoji panel use to open as intended, but now it doesn't.
It also did not function, prior to the latest August 14, 2018 - KB4343909 (OS Build 17134.228) update.

Lol, I feel like this guy ! !

I honestly did not know a thing about this "emoji panel " until I read you're post . . .

As you can 👀. . . mine does seem to work. 🤔

    And thanks for that.

The only setting I've ever seen concerning emojis is here. . .

I thought it was something I'd never use for a desktop, so I even had it turned off until I took that screen grab. . . damn, I feel dumb !

The advanced keyboard settings that I'm seeing.
Look the same as what you have.

I haven't really used the emoji panel all that much,
but it's exasperating to not have the feature when I wish to use it.

I didn't know the keyboard shortcuts, either. Working fine on my machine, too. Good to know, so thanks!
Hope you find a solution for your problem.

This is tied to the language that is used by Default, choose a different language, then turn it back to English

I think you'll have to find another guinea pig, to try this out on, because I'm not willing.

I'd rather wait for the fall update and take it from there.
    Unfortunately, nothing suggested has worked.

    My thinking is,
that this may be a registry issue,
which I have no idea how to correct, or where to look and what to amend.

Anyone know what registry entries, I might want to check out and what might need to be changed?

Actually, I don't really use the emoji panel anyway.
It's just another culmination of small issues, that win10 has failed to seamlessly incorporate.
    Don't get me wrong...
Windows 10 is the best thing they've ever created.
    I'm very happy with it.

I don't understand why some people would want to post,
that this feature works for them?
    Am I missing something here?

Changing the language and or region will not affect your computers performance in any way. You can always change it back with no damage being done.

    Great!
    Thanks, but this didn't work.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the langue packages, without any change.
I still can't use, or bring up the emoji panel.

Perhaps an in-place upgrade repair install might help? See Brink's tutorial at Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade.
    HTH!
