From the shutdow position.
I hit the power button;
I hear a high pitched hum for less than a second coming from my HDD. Than the cpu fan goes to 80% for a second than dies down to less than audible. From here on out all I can hear is every few seconds a very short low grinding sound from the HDD.
Video: my lock screen apears with my profile and the sign in bar. I cannot click on anything at this point, so I type in my password than hit enter.
No windows updates since the windows defender update after the problem began.
After signing somtimes I can click the desktop or the task bar other times what I do is ctrl+alt+delete than I can after seversl atempts click on cancel or task manager, after clicking on one of the two I can for a very short time 10-30 seconds click normaly.
Note if I enter any program, webpage, or windows system page that has a previous page button the previous page button is activated until I am sent back to the first page.
To shutdown I ctrl alt delete and click the power button rhan shut down or ctrl alt delete cancel or task manager than shut down by right clicking the windows Icon on the lower left.
From my tower when I shutdown I hear a light click.

Out of curiosity I removed my HDD booted like normal and no performance change.
