    Wndows Keeps Creating User Folder

When I first did a clean install of Windows 10 on my laptop, I moved my user 'Documents' folder to 'C:\DataFiles.' I have since created another partition and moved the 'Documents' folder to 'd:\DataFiles.'
now even thpugh I delete 'c:\DataFiles' Windows contitues to re-create the folder.
I checked the properties of both folders and there is no 'Location' tab in either of them.
I've searched the registry for 'c:\DataFiles' and it is not found.

    Any ideas???

Did you tell the My Documents folder to look at the D:/ Partition for that folder?

    James,

Is Windows recreating the folder or is one of your installed applications doing so? Check their options to see if one of them is set up to use that folder.

Your user folder 'Documents' is not set to either of the folders you have checked if they do not have location tabs.
    - Look in the Registry at
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
for the entry called Personal because its Data is the path Windows is using for your user's Documents folder.
    - You can double-click on Personal to alter the entry but make sure that you enter a path that really does exist because errors here can be awkward to resolve.
