Turn off notification at Windows 10 Shut Down

As a new user of Win10, I have hit the shutdown button, walked away and come back to find
the annoying 'are you sure' notification still active as is the PC.

How do I turn off such notifications as in the common 'don't ask me this again' box?

    Hello,

If you mean the End Task dialog like below, then you could turn on AutoEndTasks to have Windows auto continue with the shutdown.

Thanks for answering. Is there not something reversibly selectable in services or elsewhere rather than making a registry entry? I have seen the autoruns before at SevenForums etc and those are handy and helpful but am concerned that I'll forget where the change is done years from now.

However I will mark this solved as it is answered.

I'm afraid that there isn't a selectable setting for this other than using something like the .reg file to make it easy.

If you like, you could create a "My Tweaks" type folder somewhere for safe keeping, and save all the .reg files and other items you use to tweak your Windows 10. This way it'll make it easy to re-use them again as needed in the future.

Brink has posted a useful solution which is new to me. I won't use it since I sometimes try to shut down the PC with a file open and could lose work if I ignore the nag screen.

The next time that you want to shutdown the computer without being prompted for open applications try this administrative command prompt command:
    shutdown /f /s /t 00
Please report the result into the thread.

When you download a .reg file from tenforums, or anywhere for that matter. make sure you download it's opposite as well. If you want the disable file, download and save the enable file with it. That way it's easy to reverse the change a day/week/month/year from now.

I have a Windows 10/registry hacks folder where I keep all the .reg files I've downloaded and I always, when possible, keep the reverse file there with it.
