Why don't you use Macrium Reflect Free ??? Much better thing.
Countmike
I might well do, I just thought my attached method looked very straightforward?
If/when I do use Macrium, I download/install etc on HIS pc obviously ?
Also, when I think back, I with W10 help, did a clean w10 install to remove crap and it worked.
How would you explain difference between Macrrium and the usb I have containing the method to do clean install again
The method that you attached is being deprecated by Microsoft see for example:

Macrium Reflect sould indeed be installed on HIS computer.
As far as "difference between Macrrium and the usb I have containing the method to do clean install again " is concerned:
Basically, after you have clean installed Windows and then installed all the programs that you require on the PC, then when you are happy with how you have set up any customizations etc and everything is working to your liking, you would create an image with Macrium at that particular point in time. The image will contain the Windows and all your programs at that point in time.
If you have a problem in future, when you restore that particular image with Macrium, your PC will be restored exactly with the Windows, customizations, as well as all the programs that you installed previously when you created the image and will basically be ready to go straight away.
Whereas with the clean USB method as you put it, you would have to install Windows from scratch and then customizations and all the programs that you want all over again.
Hope that helps.

I get the picture, will read up on it, thanks again.
