Hey everyone. Its been a while since I've been on the forum. My question is I bought a pro CD key off Ebay but when I try to change my product key so it will upgrade to pro it says it can't use the CD key because I'm running a digital downloaded copy of windows. What can I do to fix this? Thanks for any help.
Just to double check, are you doing it similar to this way? (like in the picture)
Can you also please state the exact quote of the message that shows up? (if it states your CD key in the quote, don't include your CD key in this post; that is only for you to know)
If that doesn't work make sure you have a recent backup and then just do a clean install of Windows 10 with the new Windows 10 Pro key.
If it still doesn't work then, you got scammed on Ebay and a got a bogus/bad key.
You don't mind giving me a link to the eBay user name who sold you the product key?

I want to look at his history of his product sellings to see if he's actually a real person and not some sort of scammer of some sort.
