Here's mine on Window 10 Home, not Pro, version 1803.

Is that the same as Roy's on Pro, and to be expected even though Home is said to not have the "feature"?
That right there, is a very good question my friend.

Here is what I have and note my version build:

I have the same, 1803, but since I just ran O&O for that setting, I also have this now:

So you verified that it can be shut down by doing so, correct?

Not sure how to verify it, just know that's the entry that was made in Current, presumably to override the Default. Tell the system to ignore all default settings.

Yes, thank you - I saw the registry change and was curious as to why it just didn't alter the "AllowExperimentation" branch of the registry instead.

    According to ghacks...
There is barely any information available online about the feature....
    https://www.ghacks.net/2016/12/14/al...on-windows-10/

But I found it documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...xperimentation

This is in the section of Microsoft's documentation for Mobile Device Management which, as I read it says that these policies can only be used once the client machine has enrolled with a MDM server.

Mobile device enrollment is the first phase of enterprise management. The device is configured to communicate with the MDM server using security precautions during the enrollment process. The enrollment service verifies that only authenticated and authorized devices can be managed by their enterprise.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...ice-enrollment

Presumably Insiders are enrolled so that MS can 'experiment' - I wouldn't know, not being an Insider...

Even on the PCs where I've NEVER installed an Insider Preview, I've got these keys coming up in both Current and Default silos. Very interesting! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm considering making a run at my MS contacts to see if I can get some explanation. Thanks again,
