    Just worked for me.
Check your TenForums proflie settings here: https://www.tenforums.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
This is how mine looks currently. @Brink's tutorial suggests that...
You will need to turn off enhanced attachment uploading
...but I've never found that to be necessary.

I changed "forum skin" to sf 2017 (?), the "e a u" is on.....but message editor was on "standard", so I switched it to "enhanced", but it wont stay there. I switch, "save changes", check, but it goes back. Saved changes, logged out/in, still would not stay on "enhanced" (and still doesn't work)

Then the alternative that should work for anyone is saving the snip to a file, then posting the image file.

That may be the problem, in that case (possibly).

The screenshot copy & paste process works when pasting it into a Word or WordPad document as expected.

I checked 4 computers and copying & pasting a screenshot into Windows 10 doesn’t work.
On Edge the Full WYSIWYG Editing doesn’t stay after saving it: it returns to Standard Editor
On IE, the Full WYSIWYG Editing doe’s stay after saving it but it still doesn’t work.

I’ve also compared both Enhanced Attachment Uploading on & Enhanced Attachment Uploading off.
    No difference.
I returned to Enhanced Attachment Uploading on since that was the original setting on those computers.

I don’t know if it will work in Chrome because I don’t use it.

@Bree, my normal method is to save to a file so I know what you mean: thank you.
@Eddie Doc, I've just tried what I did on 4 different computers using Edge & IE11.
--- If everyone else is using Edge & IE11 and are successful, maybe there's another setting I need to be aware of.

The snipping tool screenshot in my last post was copied and pasted straight into the comment box no problem. I'm using Firefox and my settings don't change back.

Yes, I was using Firefox too. Doesn't seem to work for me in Edge though...

Great "discovery" I made, finding new way that things wont work. So I guess the tutorials saying "...without saving", etc, don't matter. I'm using edge.

So now I have to figure out the saving/file/folder/html/url/png thing?

I use IE and FF in equal measure, and Edge when I want a (supposedly) secure browser for banking sites. Unsurprisingly paste doesn't work in IE either...
