If you aren't familiar with the Registry, you don't need to be messing with it. One slip up and it will render Windows unusable.

Why? Because I am working on a .reg file to change windows settings to the specified value every time I factory reset my PC. (Every month)
    - I'm curious- whyever do you need to do that so frequently? I've kept my current Windows configuration for more than 3 years with updates and some program installations and updates from time to time, supported by regular disk imaging.

What do you consider the benefit of reinstalling a factory image, being an out of date Windows build, probably with all the trialware that first came with your PC?

If you read through the Tutorial section, you will find many many reg files included in the tutorials that affect features. Note: there's a huge number of them, mostly thanks to our hard-working admin, @Brink, so that could keep you very busy!

I'm curious too, my configuration traces it's ancestry back to the original OEM Win7 that pre-dates the free upgrade to W10 in 2015.

If you frequent 'dangerous' corners of the web, surely restoring a known good (and already customised) system image would be an easier option than a factory reset followed by lots of customisation?
