    Update on screensaver not functioning.

    Hi all.

Just wondering if there is an update to the screensaver not working in W10 v1803?

Has Microsoft sorted it out yet?

    Cheers.

    Hi vgk fan 83.

I have seen this article among many others whilst trolling the internet for solutions to this problem which I have had for some time now.

I also have tried using sfc, no problems there.

Additionally performed disme with no changes as such. Problem still exists.

Settings in screen saver are correct and in set up are showing function as correct.

However, screensaver in real time is not functioning.

All programs software are up to date and monitored.
    Drivers all up to date.

No longer sure where to go on this one.

Unfortunately the screensaver feature is being depreciated & will eventually be removed. There’s problems with MS screensavers especially Bubbles (shows a black screen rather than the wallpaper behind the bubbles), however third party screensavers work well.

    Screensavers contd:-

    Hi.
Funny enough, I have a 3rd party screensaver which when manually played is ok. However, when set to operate via settings to work, even that does not work.

    Another Microsoft ---- up?

I think people generally prefer to save their bills by making the monitors tern off after a period of inactivity. I do this for all my monitors.

    I love my aquarium screensaver.
Once this function is removed I’ll move to turning off the laptop monitor.

Screen savers are such anachronism, they were not needed even at later stages of CRT monitors. In fact they were even damaging them. Now their only function is amusement.
